Private reserve on the edge of the Kruger, famous for close leopard sightings.
The Sabi Sand is a group of private reserves on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, with no fences between them, so wildlife moves freely across the whole area. It is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five, and it is especially known for relaxed leopards.
Lodges here run guided game drives in open vehicles in the morning and late afternoon, with off-road driving to follow sightings, as well as bush walks with armed guides. It pairs well with Cape Town, or with a flight to Botswana or Victoria Falls.
