A private reserve between Windhoek and Etosha, known for leopard and cheetah.
Okonjima is a private nature reserve of about 22,000 hectares in central Namibia and the home of the AfriCat Foundation. It is one of the best places in the country to see leopard, and to learn about the conservation of big cats.
Its lodges and camps range from comfortable plains rooms to secluded bush villas, and guided activities include leopard and cheetah tracking, nature drives, walks and night drives. It lies about halfway between Windhoek and Etosha, so it is an ideal stop on the way north.
