The NamibRand Nature Reserve is one of the largest private reserves in Southern Africa, on the eastern edge of the Namib next to Sossusvlei. It was Africa's first International Dark Sky Reserve, and is known for fairy circles, desert wildlife and some of the darkest night skies anywhere.
