Wolwedans Dune Camp sits on the edge of a high dune in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, a vast private reserve on the eastern edge of the Namib. Its eight tented rooms are raised on wooden decks with views across the dune sea and the plains.
It is a simple, stylish camp with a warm, social feel: a fire pit, a long shared dinner table and the reserve's famously dark skies. Scenic drives, walks and e-biking on the reserve fill the days.
The tented rooms stand on raised wooden platforms and are comfortable and spacious, with king-size beds (twin beds on request) and full indoor and outdoor bathrooms. Each private deck has plenty of room for lounging and a Wolwedans chiller, a small water-filled silo for cooling off in the summer heat.
