Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp

Rhino tracking with Save the Rhino Trust in the wild Palmwag concession.

About

Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp at a glance

Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp is a small tented camp in the Palmwag concession, a huge tract of rocky hills and dry riverbeds in Damaraland where black rhino still roam free.

Days start early to track the rhino with the camp's guides and Save the Rhino Trust trackers, and drives through the concession look for desert-adapted elephant, giraffe, lion and the plains game that survive in this dry country.
