Kulala Desert Lodge lies in the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve, which borders the Namib-Naukluft National Park and has its own gate into the park, shortening the drive to Sossusvlei.
Its thatch and canvas rooms have flat roofs where bedding is laid out for a night under the stars. Guided trips to Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon, nature drives and, if you choose, a balloon flight fill the days.
