DAY 1: Kalahari
On Day 1 of this incredible safari tour, your adventure begins as you arrive at Windhoek airport, where a friendly representative will warmly greet you and provide a comprehensive overview of your itinerary. This ensures that you have a clear understanding of the exciting journey that awaits you.
From there, you will venture into the striking Kalahari, a vast and enchanting desert landscape that stretches across Namibia. As you traverse the golden sands and arid plains, you’ll be blown away by the sheer beauty and tranquillity of this unique ecosystem.
In the Kalahari, you’ll have the opportunity to embark on an optional game drive, allowing you to explore the region’s diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive predators such as the majestic black-maned lions and cheetahs that roam these untamed lands. Marvel at the agile antelopes and the cleverly adapted desert creatures that have made this harsh environment their home.
After a day of discovery, you’ll retreat to your stunning lodge, ready to rest and rejuvenate for the thrilling days that lie ahead. The Kalahari sets the perfect stage for your safari, leaving you eager to uncover more of the wonders that Namibia has to offer.
DAY 2: Fish River Canyon
Next you will continue south through arid and extensive rocky plains. You will visit the unique Garas quiver tree forest where you are welcomed by quirky human-made sculptures of scrap metal which set a contrast to this serene, timeless space with Quiver trees and aloes nestled amongst huge dolerite boulders, stacked mysteriously, the area is also aptly referred to as “Giant’s Playground”.
After exploring Giant’s Playground, you will head to your lodge, situated in close vicinity to the Fish River Canyon. Here you can explore the area on foot or enjoy an optional guided nature drive in the later afternoon highlighting the Quiver trees, rugged landscape and impressive sweeping rock formations.
DAY 3 & 4: Luderitz
Day 3 of this unforgettable Namibia safari tour takes you to the charming coastal town of Luderitz. Nestled along the rugged Atlantic coastline, Luderitz offers a unique blend of German colonial architecture and breathtaking coastal beauty. For a taste of authentic cuisine, you’ll also have the option to enjoy a light lunch in the countryside town of Helmeringhausen.
Continuing north, you’ll traverse the breathtaking Tiras Mountain range, immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Namib Desert and Sossusvlei. Prepare to be enchanted as you explore the towering dunes, including the famous Deadvlei, with its striking contrast of white clay pan, skeletal trees, and red sand. DAY 6 & 7: Swakopmund
