From there, a light aircraft flight will take you to Xugana Island Lodge in the heart of the Delta. Here, you’ll enjoy activities, such as bush walks, mokoro rides, and boat safaris, gaining a deeper understanding of this unique environment. Your final destination is Savute Safari Lodge in Chobe National Park, where you’ll spend two nights in the famous Savute region. Known for its exceptional game viewing, Savute is home to the iconic marsh and the northern lion prides featured in the Savage Kingdom documentary.
Flying between camps turns the travelling days into part of the safari: an hour over the dunes or the escarpment instead of a day on gravel, and more time where it matters. Every flight, transfer and activity is arranged; you simply arrive.
Botswana and the Zambezi region follow the same rhythm as Namibia: dry and cool from May to October, with September and October the hottest and best for big concentrations of game, then green and stormy from November to April. In the Okavango the flood arrives from the Angolan highlands around June and lingers into September, so mokoro and boating are at their best in the middle of the dry season. Victoria Falls is fullest from February to May and at its lowest, with the clearest views, from September to December.

The route
The route runs Maun, Moremi, Okavango, Chobe and Maun. Light aircraft link the camps, with each camp handling the airstrip transfers at both ends; the connections between countries are on scheduled flights. The only driving is in the game vehicles.
Flight times are approximate and schedules are confirmed the evening before. Luggage on light aircraft is limited to about 20 kg per person in soft bags.
Day by day
Upon arriving at Maun airport, a representative will greet you and assist with boarding your light aircraft. The flight will provide a scenic aerial view of the Okavango Delta, offering a glimpse of the vastness of this World Heritage site. After landing at the Moremi airstrip, your guide will meet you and drive you to Camp Moremi, where you'll have the chance to settle into your luxurious room. You will spend the next two nights at Camp Moremi, enjoying game drives and boat excursions as you explore the abundant wildlife within the Moremi Game Reserve.
Enjoy your final morning at Camp Moremi, before taking a light aircraft to your next destination, a secluded retreat located on a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Over the next two nights, you'll have the opportunity to explore the delta’s unique landscape through a range of activities, including mokoro trips, boat safaris, guided bush walks, game drives, and night drives.
After your final morning activity in the delta, depart from Xugana Island Lodge and take a light aircraft to your last destination, Savute Safari Lodge. Spend the next two nights discovering the Savute region of Chobe National Park, renowned as one of the top game-viewing areas in Botswana. Your days will focus on thrilling game drives along the Savute Channel and through the Savute Marsh, offering plenty of opportunities for unforgettable wildlife sightings.
On day 7, your safari concludes, you will depart by a light aircraft transfer to Maun. If you're catching a regional flight, the transfer will ensure you arrive in Maun in time for your departure.
