Savuti means 'mystery', and this wild, unpredictable channel has fascinated travellers and explorers for years. Depending on small shifts in the earth's crust, the waters of the Savuti either flow strongly, drawing thirsty wildlife, or ebb away to reveal grassy plains where antelope gather and predators follow.
For now the channel flows right past Wilderness Savuti, in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, which is perfectly placed for game viewing on land and on the water.
