Set deep within a 12,715-hectare private reserve bordering the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Wolwedans Dune Camp is one of the most architecturally extraordinary lodges in Africa. Eleven stone-and-glass suites emerge from the rocky desert floor — each with a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, and a retractable skylight above the bed so you can watch the Milky Way from beneath your duvet.
The lodge holds a private gate to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, meaning guests bypass the public entrance entirely and arrive at the dunes before anyone else. A resident astronomer, private observatory, and one of the darkest skies in the world make this the definitive stargazing destination in Southern Africa.

Tented Room
The Tented Rooms are built on wooden platforms, raised off the ground, and are comfortable and spacious. All have King-size beds (limited twin bed options are available upon request), as well as full indoor and outdoor bathrooms (no bathtubs). Outside, the private decks allow for plenty of lounging around, and each comes with a ‘Wolwedans Chiller’ – a small water-filled silo to cool off in during the hot summer months.
